Ipswich Custom Cabinets is a South-East Queensland cabinet maker with more than 12 years building custom kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and joinery. We work across the whole Ipswich area, from heritage Queenslanders in the old Bremer-side core to new slab-on-ground homes at Springfield and Ripley, building each job to fit the house rather than forcing one style onto every room.

Consult and Measure On-Site

It starts with a visit, not a phone estimate. We come to your Ipswich home, measure the space precisely, check how square the walls are, and talk through how you use the room. For heritage homes we note where cabinetry will need scribing, and for flood-aware streets we discuss salvageable base detailing before anything is drawn.

Design and Firm Quote

We turn your measurements and ideas into a design, then help you choose door finishes, compliant benchtops and hardware to suit your budget. You receive a firm written quote based on your actual space and materials, with no obligation to proceed and no surprise costs once the job is locked in.

Build and Install

Your cabinetry is built square in our workshop from quality moisture-resistant board and soft-close hardware, then installed on site: scribed, packed level and adjusted so reveals sit within about 2mm. Benchtops are templated and fitted once the cabinets are in, and we leave the site clean with everything working.

Do you build custom kitchens or just install flatpack?

Why won't you supply engineered stone benchtops?

Engineered (reconstituted) stone was prohibited nationally from 1 July 2024 because cutting it releases dangerous silica dust that has caused fatal lung disease in fabricators. We fully support the ban and will not fabricate or install it. We fit compliant surfaces instead: laminate, natural granite and marble, porcelain and solid timber.

What benchtop should I choose instead?

It depends on use and budget. Natural granite or porcelain handle heat and heavy use by a busy cooktop, laminate is superb value for laundries and budget kitchens, marble suits a character home if you accept its patina, and solid timber adds warmth. We talk you through the trade-offs honestly before you decide.

How do you handle homes that flooded on the Bremer?

For low-lying streets in suburbs like Goodna, Bundamba and North Ipswich that were inundated in 2011 and 2022, we can build bases that are salvageable. That means moisture-resistant carcasses and raised or removable kickboards, so a flooded base can be dried out and reused rather than demolished. We are clear that moisture-resistant is not waterproof.
